The intensity of physical activity and everyday life had put a tremendous strain on my lower back.  It got to the point where I was also feeling pain in my legs and glute muscles.  For several years, I worked with my chiropractor and massage therapist to get relief.  My chiropractor kept telling me I needed to strengthen my core and suggested that I hire a physical trainer. I was not sure I wanted to go that route. Then in April, 2018, I decided to attend a Beginners Yoga Workshop by MaryBeth Tipton and my prayers were answered.

MaryBeth’s workshop had a physical and emotional impact on me and I believed that I needed to pursue private lessons to help with strengthening my core. Little did I know that MaryBeth’s instruction would have an even greater impact on my body, mind and spirit.  She has challenged me with poses I never thought I could perform, is mindful of my specific needs and is patient beyond belief. In less than two months, I feel stronger, more confident in my movement and have even improved my posture.  Thanks to MaryBeth for a new path to self-awareness and health.- Teresa M.

“Little did I know that MaryBeth’s instruction would have an even greater impact on my body, mind and spirit.”

“Through her teaching, wise words, and my active participation, yoga is helping me to be stronger mentally, emotionally and physically.”

The first yoga practice I experienced with MaryBeth, I was not sure I could do it.  Something I can't define pulled me back. I was hooked and here I am 4 years later. There are circumstances that make me miss a practice occasionally. When that happens, I try and make it up because I feel like I am missing something important in my life. Practice with MaryBeth means many things to me, emotionally and physically. Sometimes it is a reset to begin again. Sometimes it is reinforcement of things I know but they got a little buried. Yoga practice helps bring good things to the surface. MaryBeth's instruction serves as a positive reminder or adds peace or acceptance of a current situation.  Or, that struggle on my mat helps me find focus and confidence to tackle something off my mat. The effects are subtle yet you really begin to feel it. Although I still miss her in-person classes, I really like the online flexibility and I know that she is available to me any time that I might need that. I love that she radiates positivity rooted in practicality....its contagious! - Verena

“MaryBeth has inspired me on and off of my mat to always keep learning and growing as a person and a yogi.”

“I have done yoga for over ten years, and I can say, without a doubt, that MaryBeth is the most incredible, dedicated, and passionate yoga teacher I have had the pleasure of doing yoga with. MaryBeth will be your biggest cheerleader. She will push you to test your body and try new things, but she will always be there to support you. When you finally nail that new pose you have been working on, coming out of it and seeing that massive smile on MaryBeth’s face is priceless.

MaryBeth has guided me to a leaner, more muscular body and a stronger mind. She has brought so much to my life and to my family. Through her teachings, I have learned to bring more patience and kindness to everything I do.” - Michelle

“I've practiced a lot of yoga in my day and you are hands down the best teacher I've ever had.”

“As a full time working mom of three, yoga is my happy place. It allows me to breathe and flow my way into a mindset of positivity and strength. If my husband senses something is off with me he always says, "Have you done your yoga today?" MaryBeth helps me take my practice to a whole new level. She incorporates flow sequences that I would have never thought to put together; she makes it challenging for someone who has practiced for years; and I love that every single one of her videos and classes are different!

If it wasn't for MaryBeth’s yoga teaching I honestly don't think I would have continued practicing as long as I have. Her way of teaching gives me strength and keeps me yearning for more. I look forward to her new videos and I will always drive 40 minutes to take her class!! The tranquility she exudes when she teaches is amazing. Thank you!” - Courtney Johnson

“I began the practice of yoga to better connect with myself.”

“Mary Beth is not only helping me do that, but she is showing me how the practice can transform my life, emotionally and mentally. She knows the ins and outs of the physical and mental practice ofyoga. Not only have I left class feeling more centered and balanced, but I felt more prepared to approach life a little differently... with a healthier perspective and a better understanding of myself.” - Karli Moore

“Meeting Mary Beth Tipton on May 25, 2017 altered the trajectory of my life.”

“Before I met her, I felt sick, tired, ate garbage or whatever gave me the instant gratification I craved and was overweight. MaryBeth came into my elementary school to teach students a class on yoga. Little did she know that she struck me like a lightning bolt. The lecture she gave the kids changed me, their teacher. I needed to get healthy. I was sick of being sick. I decided at that moment I was going to change. I was worth it. My kids needed a healthy and HAPPY mom. Two weeks later I walked into my first class a little overwhelmed and completely out of my comfort zone, I watched these yogis move and stretch in ways I didn’t think was possible.

What a difference a month can make. I am down 17 pounds. My body can do some of those positions I never thought I could. Yoga is my happy place, even though it has made me cry a few times, not because I was in physical pain, but my emotions were finally getting released. I’ve changed what I put in my body and the way I treat my body. I have Mary Beth Tipton to thank. She may never know the impact she has had on my life and ultimately my family’s life because my husband is getting a healthier wife and my kids, all 4, are getting a healthier mom, mind, body and spirit. Thank you MaryBeth!” - Amy Rigsby

“Attending MaryBeth’s classes before COVID and now virtually has been GREAT, not only physically but mentally.”

“In the past two years, I had been attending MaryBeth‘s class once a week and have now worked up to 5 times a week. I have realized by taking a different class each day, it has improved my balance and strength. I see a complete change on the outside and on the inside, too. I have Multiple Sclerosis so staying strong and healthy is very important in managing my disease. Her classes are perfect, whether you’re a beginner or advanced. You can pick whatever fits your skill set. The 30-minute classes are good if you’re in a hurry. Both 30-minute and 60-minute classes are effective.” -Diane B.

“I absolutely love being able to log into MaryBeth’s Yoga Living website and being able to practice at my convenience.”

“There are tons of choices for 60-minute and 30-minute classes. All classes have a clear theme which makes it easy for me to choose what I want to take depending on what my body or mind needs that day. The cues are clear which is important for a virtual platform. MaryBeth has a true passion for teaching that I feel with every class.” -Tracie W.

“I have realized that I am stronger, both physically and mentally.”

“I so enjoy yoga with MaryBeth as it gives me time to focus on me, to become a better me. I get a feeling of accomplishment and success, but at the same time find things to work on to be a better me. Add her eye-opening inspiration/questions to think about during class and it is a TOTAL experience! She has such a positive and cheerful attitude that makes you want to be successful in your yoga practice! She can explain the correct alignment and positioning in such a helpful manner. Then she says, “Just do that!” Lol. She has a very contagious personality and makes you feel quite comfortable!” - Dianne
